But we also know that entering all the right details, consistently, and correctly, can be a time-consuming and sometimes tricky process. That’s why we’re thrilled to introduce Suggestion, a new feature designed to help improve the quality of your metadata with intelligent, real-time guidance.

What is Suggestion

Suggestion is a smart assistant built directly into the upload funnel on Labelcamp. It automatically analyzes the metadata users enter and offers contextual recommendations or corrections, helping them spot issues they might have missed and ensuring their releases meet the latest industry standards.

How it Works

As you create or edit a product or a track on Labelcamp, Suggestion runs quietly in the background, checking for common mistakes or inconsistencies. When it spots something, it offers a non-intrusive suggestion, leaving the final call in your hands.

Some examples of what Suggestion can flag:

Formatting Lyrics:
If lyrics are added to a track, the feature will suggest automatically formatting them to match platform specifications.

Compilation Detection:
If the main artist is listed as Various Artists, it’ll remind you to check the Compilation box.

Formatting Cleanups:
If your title includes square brackets or parentheses, like [Remastered] or (Live), Suggestion may advise you to remove them.

Why It Matters

Well-structured and consistent metadata ensures your releases are properly understood by streaming platforms, music databases, and end-users. It reduces delays, improves discoverability, and enhances the quality of your catalog.
