When one party (the distributor) sends data to another party (a DSP), the receiving party sends back an ACK message to acknowledge that the data has been received and processed successfully. This acknowledgment helps the sender to know that their data was received correctly and that any subsequent actions can proceed with confidence.
DDEX ACKs help prevent errors and miscommunications that could arise during data transmission. They give visibility over what happens after deliveries are complete and are an efficient way to communicate between the distributor and the DSP as part of the process.
Indeed, after a delivery is completed, each time an ACK is made available on the DSP’s server, Labelcamp will read its status, looking for any error in the ingestion process that was reported by the platform. In such a case, the application will store the message, warn the user and provide access to the full ACK, allowing him/her to solve the problem.
Note that, currently, Labelcamp only ingests ACKs from a selection of DSPs, but more platforms should be added to the list soon.
